I didn’t come to trading psychology through a textbook.
About Sofia Harchich — Trading Psychologist & Behavioural Finance Writer
I am Sofia Harchich — a trading psychologist, behavioural finance writer, and the founder of The Wealth Mirror. My work sits at the intersection of psychology, financial behaviour, and inner transformation. I help retail traders and investors understand the unconscious patterns driving their decisions — not to fix them, but to understand them deeply enough that real change becomes possible.
I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology with a focus on human behaviour and decision-making. The research my work rests on is behavioural finance — loss aversion, the disposition effect, recency and confirmation bias: the documented ways decisions bend under financial risk — together with António Damásio’s work on emotion and decision-making, and research on how stress narrows attention under threat.
Alongside that sit interpretive influences: Carl Jung’s work on the shadow, and the writing of Eckhart Tolle and David Hawkins on awareness. They shape how I think about self-observation and meaning, and they are kept separate from the evidence — they inform the approach, but they are not presented as scientific support for it.
This is not surface-level mindset coaching. It is psychology taken seriously, in service of financial clarity. The method itself — the instability loop, the four surface patterns and the stability loop — is set out in full on the framework page.

Why Trading Psychology?
I came to trading psychology through my own experience in the markets. Two years of active trading taught me something that no strategy book addresses honestly: the market does not break you with complexity. It breaks you with yourself. Every impulsive entry, every fear-driven exit, every moment of freezing when gold was setting up perfectly — these were not random failures. They were a mirror. They pointed directly to beliefs, patterns, and wounds that had nothing to do with technical analysis and everything to do with who I was underneath the chart.
That realisation became the foundation of everything I build here. As a trading psychologist, I believe that lasting performance change begins not with better rules, but with deeper self-knowledge. When you understand what is really running your financial decisions, you stop fighting yourself — and start trading and investing from a place of genuine clarity.
The patterns I discovered in myself became the framework I use to help others. This is not theory — it is lived trading psychology, applied from the inside out.
What You Will Find at The Wealth Mirror
The Wealth Mirror is a space for traders and investors who are ready to go beyond strategy. Here you will find in-depth articles on trading psychology and behavioural finance, tools to identify your emotional patterns, and frameworks built on behavioural finance and emotion research — all applied to the real experience of being in the markets.
Whether you trade gold, forex, or equities — or whether you are building long-term wealth as an investor — the patterns that shape your results begin within. The work here is designed to help you see them, understand them, and transform them.
Beyond the markets, my work is informed by a deep curiosity about what money really means to people, not as a number, but as a symbol. Money carries the weight of our self-worth, our fears, our sense of safety, and our beliefs about what we deserve.
A trading psychologist does not only work with charts and performance data. The real work happens at the level of identity — examining the stories we tell ourselves about success, failure, risk, and reward, and discovering how those stories were written long before we ever placed a trade or made an investment decision.
If any of this resonates, start with the free trading psychology quiz — 12 questions that reveal the dominant emotional pattern shaping your financial decisions. Or explore the blog to begin understanding the psychology behind your trading behaviour.
The mirror is already showing you everything. This is where you learn to read it. This is the work of a trading psychologist — and it begins the moment you decide to look honestly at what your financial decisions are revealing about you.
